He's trying to pull a fast one

Patricia, Ohio Governor John Kasich is trying to pull a fast one. He recently vetoed a bill that would ban abortion after six weeks -- but then immediately signed a 20-week abortion ban into law in an attempt to seem moderate. But women aren't fooled. We know exactly what this is: political meddling in our lives and our choices. We can fight back and show Kasich and other anti-woman Republicans that we know what's up. Donate to help elect more pro-choice Democratic women to stand up to anti-choice Republicans like John Kasich: secure.emilyslist.org/page/contribute/20161221_email_Ohio Both bans are in direct conflict with Roe v. Wade. They are unconstitutional. Kasich and other anti-choice Republicans are just hoping the Supreme Court will become more anti-choice after some Trump nominations and more willing to overturn Roe v. Wade. It's time we stopped these bills at the beginning -- before they're taken to court, before they're signed into law by anti-choice governors, before they're even introduced. And to do that, we need to elect a wave of pro-choice Democratic women at the state and local level. EMILY's List is planning to prioritize Ohio and other key states in 2018. But we need to know if this community is invested in winning the down-ballot races where Republicans have dominated since 2010. Donate to help elect pro-choice Democratic women up and down the ballot and show that we will defend choice wherever it is under attack: secure.emilyslist.org/page/contribute/20161221_email_Ohio Thank you, Marcy Stech Vice President of Communications, EMILY's List

Patricia,

Ohio Governor John Kasich is trying to pull a fast one.

He recently vetoed a bill that would ban abortion after six weeks — but then immediately signed a 20-week abortion ban into law in an attempt to seem moderate.

But women aren't fooled. We know exactly what this is: political meddling in our lives and our choices.

We can fight back and show Kasich and other anti-woman Republicans that we know what's up.

Both bans are in direct conflict with Roe v. Wade. They are unconstitutional. Kasich and other anti-choice Republicans are just hoping the Supreme Court will become more anti-choice after some Trump nominations and more willing to overturn Roe v. Wade.

EMILY's List is planning to prioritize Ohio and other key states in 2018. But we need to know if this community is invested in winning the down-ballot races where Republicans have dominated since 2010.
