It has been a busy week in Washington! Over the past few days, we’ve had a series of important Senate confirmation hearings with President-elect Trump’s cabinet.

Tuesday, January 10th— The Senate Judiciary Committee heard from Senator Jeff Sessions, President-elect Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, and the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee heard from John Kelly, the nominee for Secretary of Homeland Security.

Wednesday, January 11th — The Senate Foreign Relations Committee heard from Rex Tillerson, President-elect Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State, the Judiciary Committee once again met with Senator Sessions for Attorney General, and the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee heard from Elaine Chao, President-elect Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Transportation.

Thursday, January 12th — The Armed Services Committee heard from General James Mattis, the nominee for Secretary of Defense, the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee met with Dr. Ben Carson, President-elect Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, the Foreign Relations Committee met again with Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State, and the Intelligence Committee met with President-elect’s nominee for CIA Director, Rep. Mike Pompeo.
