Because of you.

Senator Orrin Hatch

Dear Friend, The average Senator is lucky to get one bill signed into law; in the last Congress, I was able to pass 45—a milestone accomplishment that is all thanks to the support of people like you. My message today is one of gratitude. I wish to thank the good men and women of Utah who have allowed me to serve our state for so many years in the Senate. Because of you, we have been able to bring about tremendous good for Utah and the nation. And together, we can continue to accomplish great things. Have you ever wondered what a typical day is like in the life of a US Senator? Watch this video to see for yourself   Indeed, with Republicans in control of both Congress and the White House, we have an unprecedented opportunity to effect meaningful change for Utah’s families–from fixing our broken tax code and replacing Obamacare to creating good-paying jobs and strengthening our nation’s military. In the new Congress, I have been hard at work drawing the blueprints for such reforms. I invite you to see for yourself by watching the KSL feature story (above), which details a day in the life of Senator Orrin Hatch. Join me as I navigate the halls of Congress en route to various meetings, speak at a confirmation hearing for the Attorney General-nominee, and huddle with policy experts to discuss future trade deals.  In this video, you’ll hear me offer a simple truth that I’ve been repeating for years: Everything I’ve achieved in the Senate is thanks to God and to the people of Utah. Serving Utah’s families is the privilege of a lifetime and blessing that I do not take for granted. Over the past few months, I have been encouraged by thousands of Utahns who have expressed their confidence in my leadership. I was especially humbled when I came across two op-eds written by some of Utah’s most respected thought leaders who have voiced their support for my work in the Senate. I encourage you to read excerpts from their op-eds below. The first was published by Gail Miller in the Salt Lake Tribune; the second was written by several Utah county commissioners for The Spectrum.  As I travel across our beautiful state, I am immensely grateful for the support of Utahns like you. In me, you have placed a solemn trust—know that I will always work hard to keep it.    Sincerely,   Orrin

Dear Friend,

The average Senator is lucky to get one bill signed into law; in the last Congress, I was able to pass 45—a milestone accomplishment that is all thanks to the support of people like you.

My message today is one of gratitude. I wish to thank the good men and women of Utah who have allowed me to serve our state for so many years in the Senate. Because of you, we have been able to bring about tremendous good for Utah and the nation. And together, we can continue to accomplish great things.

Indeed, with Republicans in control of both Congress and the White House, we have an unprecedented opportunity to effect meaningful change for Utah’s families–from fixing our broken tax code and replacing Obamacare to creating good-paying jobs and strengthening our nation’s military.

Utah Business Leader Gail Miller: Hatch is an Indispensable Leader for Utah

From the Salt Lake Tribune on Sunday

One tenet of my personal philosophy is that success is defined as doing the right thing for the right reason in the right way. Though others may disagree, I believe if each of us would "go about doing good until there was too much good in the world," the energy expended and the results attained would create a very different world from the one in which we now live. Many people spend a lifetime trying to change the world by "doing good." Sen. Orrin Hatch is one of those people.

Strengthening local communities and supporting law enforcement are just two issues Hatch has championed that are near and dear to my heart. There are, of course, myriad other causes he has embraced to the benefit of all Utahns. From his unyielding efforts to protect religious liberty and uphold the Constitution to his principled leadership on education and health care reform, Hatch has demonstrated time and again his willingness to go to bat for the people of Utah. Hatch's value to our state — indeed, to our nation — is difficult to overstate. He is arguably the most effective legislator in the nation, having sponsored more bills that have become law than any member of Congress. And he shows no signs of letting up anytime soon. If anything, Hatch is in his prime. Consider that in the 114th Congress alone, he sponsored more bills that became law than any other sitting senator — Republican or Democrat. His experience is unequaled and his influence immeasurable.

From The Spectrum

Thanks to Sen. Hatch, Utah has an outsized voice in setting our nation's policy agenda. And thanks to his steadfast support of President-elect Donald Trump, that voice will only grow stronger in the years to come.

Today, our rural communities need Sen. Hatch more than ever. For eight years, the Obama administration has laid siege to western counties, subjecting them to a relentless barrage of damaging and unnecessary environmental regulations.

But even as the Obama administration launched attack after attack on our way of life, Utah was not alone: We always had a powerful ally in Sen. Hatch.

Indeed, Sen. Hatch has never stopped fighting on behalf of Utah's rural counties. Now, with the ear of the president, Sen. Hatch has both the opportunity to advocate for western priorities and the leverage to deliver. And as chairman of the Finance Committee, he will spearhead the effort in Congress to advance key aspects of the President-elect's agenda — from replacing Obamacare and improving entitlement programs to negotiating trade deals and simplifying our tax code.

With Sen. Hatch taking lead on the most significant legislative initiatives to come before Congress in well over a decade, Utahns can do more than push for lasting conservative reforms; they can lead the charge.
