The Trump administration needs to be held accountable

Republicans in Congress are not holding Trump's administration accountable -- so we have to. Pitch in $10 today:

Anne --

"Because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another -- but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People."

That's what Donald Trump said in his inaugural speech just a mere five days ago -- and then the crackdown started.

One of the Trump administration's first actions was to ban federal agencies from tweeting (after the National Park Service tweeted a photo of the small inauguration crowd on the National Mall -- whoops!). But then they took it a step further.

Several federal agencies were put under a gag order, prohibiting employees from communicating with the press or giving out any information to the public about what was happening at the agency. The Department of Agriculture was told to stop publishing scientific research. The EPA has been ordered to purge any references to climate change from its website -- expect that to come down later today.

I'm confused, Anne... if we are supposedly putting the government back into the hands of the people, why is this administration prohibiting federal agencies from even talking to the public about what they're doing? Why is Trump making it harder for the media to report on the actions of the federal government?

The answer is that, as we know, Donald doesn't mean anything that he says. He's not giving the government back to the people -- he's holding it hostage to the whims of his own fact-free reality. And it's apparent that Republicans in Congress don't care and aren't going to hold him accountable. So if they won't, we will.

Will you pitch in $10 now so that we can continue to stand up to this administration and the GOP?
