Roy Blunt, US Senator for Missouri Dear Friend, As hundreds of thousands of Americans - including hundreds of Missourians - descend on Washington, D.C. today to take part in the March for Life, I want to share a few updates on issues important to our fundamental freedoms of life and religious liberty. After eight years of President Barack Obama, we now have a leader in the White House who will work with Congress to protect and defend the right to life. This past Monday, President Donald Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy, which prevents foreign assistance programs from using your hard-earned tax dollars to subsidize abortion. Foreign assistance programs should focus on the mission of promoting human and economic development without violating core American values. Looking ahead to next week, President Trump has announced that he will name his nominee to the Supreme Court on Thursday. A lifelong appointment to our nations highest court, the next Supreme Court justice will influence the direction of our country for generations to come. *Trinity Lutheran Church v. Pauley [link 1] *is among the cases our nations highest court will consider this year. The case involves a church preschool based in Columbia, Missouri, and the justices will consider whether the government can categorically deny a religious organization a benefit simply because they are religious. Dear Unity,

As hundreds of thousands of Americans  - including hundreds of Missourians - descend on Washington, D.C. today to take part in the March for Life, I want to share a few updates on issues important to our fundamental freedoms of life and religious liberty.

A lifelong appointment to our nations highest court, the next Supreme Court justice will influence the direction of our country for generations to come.

is among the cases our nations highest court will consider this year. The case involves a church preschool based in Columbia, Missouri, and the justices will consider whether the government can categorically deny a religious organization a benefit simply because they are religious.

Although we are only one week into President Trumps term, Im pleased that he is already taking action on issues that directly impact our pro-life and faith-based principles.

Sincere regards,
