Unity, I wanted to share with you some recent updates about the work I'm doing to strengthen Ohio, champion our American freedoms and share my views with a new book. My Ohio Budget Proposal: "Embracing the future" is the fundamental theme of the new state budget I just sent to the legislature, because it's the way I feel we can build for Ohio's next generation. As we've always done, our budget starts with conservative, responsible budgeting that works to restrain the growth of state spending and make government leaner, more efficient and more effective. The budget focuses on what we know works - tax reform, education, workforce preparation, healthcare transformation and other areas critical to long-lasting job growth - that have helped Ohio create 450,000 new private sector jobs over the past six years. But this budget also emphasizes forward-looking strategies that will keep our state competitive for the jobs of the future, by ensuring that Ohio is a step ahead with emerging technologies like self-driving vehicles, smart highways, sensor technologies, drones, data analytics and cybersecurity. Book Announcement: I've written a new book, that will be released in April, to share what I've learned about America while traveling all over our great country. I believe our nation can be united again. The way forward is to focus on our shared moral compass - the on that points us to honesty, integrity, personal responsibility, faith, humility, compassion, forgiveness and tolerance - that will get us back on track. Recent Statements & National Security Activities: • I was very happy to see the President nominate a conservative, principled and eminently qualified pick for the Supreme Court. I'm hopeful that he will be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. • I also weighed-in on the President's Executive Order regarding immigration. Here is my statement: • Also, I recently enjoyed speaking on a panel about national security at the Netherlands Embassy in Washington, D.C. Unity, I wanted to share with you some recent updates about the work I'm doing to strengthen Ohio, champion our American freedoms and share my views with a new book.

My Ohio Budget Proposal:

“Embracing the future” is the fundamental theme of the new state budget I just sent to the legislature, because it’s the way I feel we can build for Ohio’s next generation.

As we’ve always done, our budget starts with conservative, responsible budgeting that works to restrain the growth of state spending and make government leaner, more efficient and more effective. The budget focuses on what we know works – tax reform, education, workforce preparation, healthcare transformation and other areas critical to long-lasting job growth – that have helped Ohio create 450,000 new private sector jobs over the past six years.

But this budget also emphasizes forward-looking strategies that will keep our state competitive for the jobs of the future, by ensuring that Ohio is a step ahead with emerging technologies like self-driving vehicles, smart highways, sensor technologies, drones, data analytics and cybersecurity.

Book Announcement:

I've written a new book, that will be released in April, to share what I've learned about America while traveling all over our great country. I believe our nation can be united again. The way forward is to focus on our shared moral compass - the on that points us to honesty, integrity, personal responsibility, faith, humility, compassion, forgiveness and tolerance - that will get us back on track. You" can read more here from the Washington Post.
