Dear Anne,

She persisted. And now, Sen. Elizabeth Warren wants to talk to you.

During the recent debate over Jeff Sessions’ confirmation as attorney general, Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and every Senate Republican silenced Sen. Warren when she tried to read Coretta Scott King’s searing 1986 indictment of Jeff Sessions’ racism on the Senate floor.

McConnell’s outrageous attack on Sen. Warren and the backlash that followed show that we can pressure Republicans into making major, public errors when we highlight their extremist agenda and keep the pressure on. But our work is not done.

This Tuesday, Feb. 21, Sen. Warren is joining us for a special call to celebrate CREDO members’ massive opposition to Donald Trump’s dangerous agenda, including his swamp cabinet, and talk about how we will use this momentum to oppose and resist Trump’s dangerous agenda every step of the way.

Our community has been relentless in our opposition to Trump, from his Muslim ban to his attacks on immigrants, to his bigoted, climate-denying, anti-woman cabinet. We submitted almost three million petition signatures and made more than 250,000 calls to senators asking them to block Medicare killer Tom Price, climate denier Scott Pruitt, extreme racist Jeff Sessions, foreclosure king Steve Mnuchin, friend-of-Putin Rex Tillerson, anti-worker Andy Puzder and billionaire bigot Betsy DeVos.

CREDO members played a massive and leading role in forcing the White House to pull Puzder’s nomination last week and forcing DeVos’ confirmation vote to a nail-biting tie.

Since Trump entered the presidential race, CREDO activists have forcefully stood up to his hateful agenda. We hope you’ll join Sen. Warren in reflecting on what we’ve done so far and thinking together about what comes next.
