Friend -- The past several weeks have been tough for those of us who believe in diversity, tolerance, openness, and religious freedom. Just this week, the new administration made another effort to target the vulnerable among us, putting out an updated version of their discriminatory travel ban targeting Muslims and refugees. Rather than focusing on common-sense immigration reform, the new administration is instead sweeping up DREAMers and law-abiding undocumented immigrants who have lived and worked in the United States for years -- many of whom have children or other family members who are U.S. citizens. Actions like these are heartless and arbitrary, they don't make us safer, and they are bad for our communities and our economy -- we shouldn't stand for them. We can't sit back while our core values are pushed aside and families are torn apart -- we must get organized and ready to take strategic action. Tomorrow night, join OFA for a call with experts in the field of immigration reform to discuss how we can get involved and what we can do to fight back.
