Rodriguez , a retired U.S. Army Green Beret, sustained at least 12 concussions during his nine deployments. President Bush’s portrait features Rod’s striking eyes – one of which is blue-green from a prosthetic lens that corrects the double vision and light sensitivity stemming from his traumatic brain injuries.
