When Senate Democrats deny Neil Gorsuch the 60 votes he needs to be confirmed as a Supreme Court justice, it won't be payback for the way Republicans treated Merrick Garland. It will be because of Gorsuch's record.
Right-wing groups are spending millions of dollars to prop up Gorsuch because of his support for defunding Planned Parenthood, his ruling that employers should be able to deny coverage for contraception for their employees, and his record of opposing LGBT rights.
He has made decisions that determined corporations are people and punished hardworking employees for taking steps to save their own lives -- or, as Senator Chuck Schumer put it, Gorsuch "prefers CEOs over truck drivers, executives over employers, and corporations over consumers."
It's no wonder why Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch. And there's no doubt why every Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted yesterday to move him ahead to a full vote on the Senate floor. They see the same things we do, Anne -- but they view Gorsuch's anti-woman, anti-LGBT, anti-worker record as a reason to put him on the Supreme Court for life.
So far, more than 227,478 Democrats have stood with Senate Democrats to reject Gorsuch's nomination to the Supreme Court -- add your name to join them:
