They're at it again - the latest on Obamacare's repeal

Friend -- We sent a strong message to Washington last month: Don't roll back the progress we've made on health care. And yet, if you wanted proof that they're more interested in partisan politics than standing up for what Americans are asking for, it's that they're putting repeal back on the table -- again. Right now, in back rooms around the Capitol, the administration is meeting with members of the far-right Freedom Caucus to try and revive this bill by making it even more unfair to those who need coverage the most. They're discussing options that would be even more harmful than the one they tried to pass just a couple weeks ago. So far, we know that it could cause the cost of insurance for people with pre-existing conditions to skyrocket, and it still would allow leaders to get rid of the provision in Obamacare that requires insurance companies to provide "essential health benefits," like doctor and emergency room visits, maternity care, and prescription drugs. The consequences of legislation like this would be devastating and life-threatening for people all over the country. That's unacceptable -- and it's up to us to keep fighting congressional leaders' attempts to make these measures a reality. We beat this two weeks ago, and we can beat this again. Say you'll be a part of the continued fight to defend affordable health care: my.ofa.us/Keep-Up-This-Fight Thanks, Saumya Saumya Narechania National Issues Campaign Manager Organizing for Action
