BIG news from Georgia:
Last night, in a special election to fill a Republican House seat, Democrat Jon Ossoff received 48% of the vote — just two points away from winning the race outright. He's now in a runoff to ultimately decide who wins the seat.
Democrats from around the country have been pouring resources into this race: making calls, sending money, and even showing up to knock doors in the district. THAT's how fired up Democrats are.
If our party can pull this off in Georgia, then our chances of flipping a lot of House seats will shoot up. Right now, there are 26 congressional districts that are even bluer than GA-06 but currently represented by a Republican.
And we want to target as many of them as possible.
As Georgia has shown us, we can do big things when we have the resources to back up candidates who are ready to run.
