Patricia, Since day one of Donald Trump's presidency, we've been out in full force fueling the resistance and standing with our pro-choice Democratic women against Trump's dangerous administration. Now we're focusing on bringing the resistance to the ballot box and helping more women run for office than ever before. We've got some tough races ahead of us in 2018, and we're planning to do as much as we can for as many women as we can. That's why I'm checking our records to make sure everyone who cares about this work is involved. And our budget went up dramatically after the outpouring of energy after the election. Over 13,000 women and counting have told us they want to run for office -- more than 13 times the number of women we heard from in 2016! Usually we have to do a lot of legwork in state and local races to ask women to run. This time, potential candidates are tweeting, emailing, and signing up on our website to tell us they're ready. That's why we've launched a brand-new program, Run to Win, to support these women with trainings, webinars, and other online resources as they learn how to run campaigns. That's on top of our mission to protect the nine of our 15 senators who are up for re-election next year and flip the House from Republicans' control. I'm not complaining: We're more fired up than ever to help these candidates win. But I do want to make sure we can be there for the thousands of women who are counting on us. As Chief Operating Officer, it's my job to make sure our resources match our budget — and vice versa. And our budget went up dramatically after the outpouring of energy after the election.
