Helping Hoosiers Plan for Retirement Hard-working Hoosiers deserve the opportunity to create a comfortable retirement for themselves. However, the Obama Administration's 'Fiduciary Rule' puts that in jeopardy. This big-government overregulation is causing inadvertent harm to the very people it was intended to help. I want to make it easier for people of all incomes to save and plan for those post-working years. That is why I am glad to work with my colleagues on an effort to bring a common-sense approach to retirement planning <outreach.senate.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx op=13295.6654317.5244238.189397&report_id=&redirect=https%3a%2f%2fwww.is akson.senate.gov%2fpublic%2findex.cfm%2fnews-releases%3fID%3dAD6F4809-D3 BA-4583-8AA2-BE0E020C52BD&redir_log=127237160696611> . Look Ahead: Iran Sanctions and the Humanitarian Crisis in Yemen As early as today, the Senate will vote on a bill to place new -- stronger -- sanctions on Iran. Iran continues to be the leading State sponsor of terrorism, they continue to develop ballistic missiles and finance proxy forces in Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon. The regime's behavior is unacceptable and destabilizes the Middle East. In addition to the Iran Sanctions legislation, the Senate will vote to disapprove the transfer of weapons to Saudi Arabia. I will carefully consider the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, and Saudi Arabia's efforts to help relieve the suffering of the Yemini people, as I decide on that vote. Helping Hoosiers Recover from Flooding

I teamed up with Senator Joe Donnelly and Representative Trey Hollingsworth to urge the Small Business Administrator, Linda McMahon to support Governor Eric Holcomb’s disaster assistance request to bring relief for residences and businesses that suffered severe damage from last month's storms and floods.

The SBA’s Disaster Loan Program would help people and businesses in Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison, Jackson, Lawrence, Orange and Scott counties get back on their feet as the region recovers.

Helping Hoosiers Plan for Retirement

Hard-working Hoosiers deserve the opportunity to create a comfortable retirement for themselves. However, the Obama Administration’s ‘Fiduciary Rule’ puts that in jeopardy. This big-government overregulation is causing inadvertent harm to the very people it was intended to help.

I want to make it easier for people of all incomes to save and plan for those post-working years. That is why I am glad to work with my colleagues on an effort to bring a common-sense approach to retirement planning.

Quick update: House of Representatives to Vote on VA Reform and Accountability Measures

It is now the House of Representatives' turn to vote on a recently passed Senate bill that will bring much needed reform to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

This legislation will offer stronger protections for whistleblowers which should make it easier to fire bad actors within the VA -- including executives. Following a successful vote in the House, the measure will be sent to the President's desk to be signed into law.

Look Ahead: Iran Sanctions and the Humanitarian Crisis in Yemen

As early as today, the Senate will vote on a bill to place new -- stronger -- sanctions on Iran.

I will carefully consider the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, and Saudi Arabia’s efforts to help relieve the suffering of the Yemini people, as I decide on that vote.
