Most Important Speech Yet for the Faith Community View this email in your browser Dear Unity, Did you miss the fireworks? Americans spent $7 billion celebrating our Independence yesterday…that's a lot of food and fireworks! But we certainly have reason to celebrate. Ours is the freest and most prosperous nation in the history of the world. Why? What's different about the United States than any other nation? Simple…our nation was uniquely established on the principles of our faith and recognition of God. Our country was established recognizing the vital role religion plays in the flourishing of its people. We also have a president who recognizes the role of religion in our nation. This past Saturday, at the Celebrate Freedom Concert, President Trump delivered what has become his most important speech yet for the faith community. In recent memory, I cannot think of another president speaking with so much conviction and honesty about religious freedom in America. Christians are extremely fortunate to have a president that believes, without excuse or apology, that America is at her greatest when she recognizes her Creator. He reminded us that "as long as our country remains true to its values, loyal to its heroes, and devoted to its Creator, then our best days are yet to come." To be clear, our best days are where religious liberty abounds and the gospel flourishes. Our best days are when we overcome oppression, the strong protects the weak, and good defeats evil. Our best days are when God is truly honored in America. That is the vision of My Faith Votes, that God will be honored in America. And it's why we fight every day for the values of our faith to shape the future of our nation. It is why we care so much about elections because they matter. As we celebrate American freedom this week, I'm thankful for the many countless blessings we enjoy in America, but I'm especially thankful we still live in a place where God is recognized and honored - beginning with the president of the United States. Dear Unity,

Did you miss the fireworks? Americans spent $7 billion celebrating our Independence yesterday…that’s a lot of food and fireworks! But we certainly have reason to celebrate. Ours is the freest and most prosperous nation in the history of the world.

Why? What’s different about the United States than any other nation?

Simple…our nation was uniquely established on the principles of our faith and recognition of God. Our country was established recognizing the vital role religion plays in the flourishing of its people.

We also have a president who recognizes the role of religion in our nation.

This past Saturday, at the Celebrate"Freedom Concert, President Trump delivered what has become his most important speech yet for the faith community. In recent memory, I cannot think of another president speaking with so much conviction and honesty about religious freedom in America. Christians are extremely fortunate to have a president that believes, without excuse or apology, that America is at her greatest when she recognizes her Creator.

He reminded us that “as long as our country remains true to its values, loyal to its heroes, and devoted to its Creator, then our best days are yet to come.”

To be clear, our best days are where religious liberty abounds and the gospel flourishes. Our best days are when we overcome oppression, the strong protects the weak, and good defeats evil. Our best days are when God is truly honored in America.

That is the vision of My Faith Votes, that God will be honored in America. And it’s why we fight every day for the values of our faith to shape the future of our nation. It is why we care so much about elections because they matter.

As we celebrate American freedom this week, I’m thankful for the many countless blessings we enjoy in America, but I’m especially thankful we still live in a place where God is recognized and honored — beginning with the president of the United States.
