A new message from your friends at People For the American Way. Dear Anne, Millionaires, billionaires, and the wealthy are already not paying their fair share of taxes... and Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are working hard to make sure they can pay even less. They are crafting a plan that guts vital services for millions of Americans -- like Medicaid, Medicare, education, Social Security, and more -- all to hand out massive tax breaks to the wealthy. Please sign this petition from PFAW and our allies to demand a tax system that works for all Americans, not just the wealthiest among us>> site.pfaw.org/site/R Senator Orrin Hatch from Utah, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, is the chief architect of this plan and now he's soliciting comments "from experts and stakeholders" on reforming the tax system. Their definition of key stakeholders is a little different than ours. Senator Hatch wants to hear from corporate lobbyists, but we think that every day Americans are key stakeholders in this process too. The breakdown of the tax cuts in this plan are appalling. Half of the tax cuts will go to the richest 1 percent, and companies with offshore profits will get another huge break, all at our expense. Other programs that will be gutted to finance this tax break for the wealthy are Meals on Wheels, medical research, and road and bridge repair. You're a stakeholder too -- demand that tax reform that bolsters our communities and makes the wealthiest pay their fair share! site.pfaw.org/site/R They're trying to push this through as quickly as healthcare, and the period of commenting ends July 17. Thank you for using your voice to speak out against this harmful tax plan. --Katie O'Connell, Digital Communications Coordinator donate: site.pfaw.org/site/R                                 Do not reply directly to this e-mail. Dear Anne,

Millionaires, billionaires, and the wealthy are already not paying their fair share of taxes… and Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are working hard to make sure they can pay even less.

They are crafting a plan that guts vital services for millions of Americans -- like Medicaid, Medicare, education, Social Security, and more -- all to hand out massive tax breaks to the wealthy.

Please sign this petition from PFAW and our allies to demand a tax system that works for all Americans, not just the wealthiest among us>>

Senator Orrin Hatch from Utah, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, is the chief architect of this plan and now he's soliciting comments "from experts and stakeholders" on reforming the tax system.
