Common sense

Friend -- Speaker Paul Ryan and House leaders are doing this administration's dirty work. This month, they released a budget proposal that would give the administration everything they need to carry out their plans for indiscriminate mass deportation and keep sowing fear and uncertainty among immigrant families across the country. We recently learned from an official administration memo that immigration enforcement officers have been given orders to take action against every undocumented immigrant, regardless of whether or not they pose a threat to public safety. That's what this budget will do: put that deportation force on steroids -- and build a ridiculous and unnecessary border wall. Our immigration system is already badly broken, and discriminatory policies like these just make it worse. OFA is gearing up to fight back -- are you in? my.ofa.us/Reject-This-Agenda America is a nation of immigrants. Our diversity has always been a source of energy and strength for our country. This extreme agenda violates the very values that make us who we are as Americans. It's common sense that we shouldn't spend billions of dollars on a ridiculous border wall. It's common sense that immigration enforcement should prioritize the deportation of dangerous criminals -- not mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, and daughters and sons who have done nothing but try to create a better life for themselves and their families. But this memo and budget cast that sense aside in favor of cruelty and retribution -- and it's wrong. We must reject policies that incite fear and create division. We have to demand that our representatives in Washington represent us and the best values we hold at our core, not rubber stamp this administration's cruel agenda. While this budget is being deliberated in the House, we have a chance to take action and speak out against it. Say that you will: my.ofa.us/Reject-This-Agenda Thank you, Representative Ruben Gallego

Friend --

Speaker Paul Ryan and House leaders are doing this administration's dirty work.

America is a nation of immigrants.

Say that you will:
