EFF is fighting everyday to defend civil liberties in the digital world, with an emphasis on privacy, transparency, free speech and fair use. Each year since 2011, EFF has released an annual report, entitled “Who Has Your Back?” that scores companies on their efforts to protect consumer data from government requests. In recent years, CREDO was among a handful of companies that received a perfect 5–star rating.
Since 2003, CREDO members have voted to donate more than $320,000 to EFF, which is a longtime CREDO ally and partner, dating back to our work together in 2003 in opposition to electronic voting machines. Today, CREDO and EFF are closely working together to protect net neutrality and defend civil liberties.
