Dear Unity, I want to ask you to be in prayer for President Trump as he considers making a historic decision this weekend.  In 1980, Israel passed a law declaring Jerusalem the united capital of Israel. In support, the U.S. Congress passed a law in 1995 mandating the U.S. embassy be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. However, since the passage of the law, every President – Clinton, Bush, and Obama – has declined to move the embassy, issuing a waiver every six months to delay the move. The six-month deadline for the waiver is again approaching, and the Trump administration has said they are engaged in serious discussions to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem instead of again signing a six-month waiver. This would send a bold and important message to the world of America's unwavering support of Israel in the midst of heightened international tension. Vice President Pence gave an exclusive interview to CBN's David Brody.  “For the past twenty years, Congress and successive administrations have expressed a willingness to move our American embassy but as I announced earlier this week, President Trump is actively considering moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. It’s a very serious matter. It’s one that he’s taking very seriously to heart but the President and I believe that the relationship between the American people and the people of Israel is one that is timeless." - Vice President Pence  Take a minute to use our simple interactive tool to send a message to the White House and President Trump letting him know you support moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and fulfilling the 1995 law.
