From the Women's March to the #MeToo movement

Patricia, Merriam-Webster declared the word of the year to be "feminism," and I couldn't agree more. From the Women's March, to the thousands who made headlines when they said they wanted to run for office, to the courageous voices (past and present) of the #MeToo movement -- this year, women have led the national narrative. Moments like this are why EMILY's List was created in the first place: to empower pro-choice Democratic women to be the candidates they've been waiting for and help get them elected. As we've seen over the past months, voters across the country want to elect women who can bring this fight to city halls, state legislatures, governorships, and Congress. Donate to help pro-choice Democratic women continue to resist at every level of government in the coming year: secure.emilyslist.org/page/contribute/20171221_email_WhyPCDW If everyone thought 2017 was a big year for women, they won't believe what this community is going to do in 2018. We can grow the number of pro-choice Democratic women governors at least four-fold, flip Congress (both the House AND Senate), help hundreds of women run for state and local office, and replace horrible anti-choice Republicans in the process. But to do all of this, every one of our candidates is going to need the support of this entire community behind them. We've had their backs so far. Let's not stop now. Donate to make sure that EMILY's List women have the resources they need to deliver sweeping victories next year: secure.emilyslist.org/page/contribute/20171221_email_WhyPCDW Thanks -- and go team! Patricia,

Merriam-Webster declared the word of the year to be "feminism," and I couldn't agree more.

From the Women's March, to the thousands who made headlines when they said they wanted to run for office, to the courageous voices (past and present) of the #MeToo movement — this year, women have led the national narrative.

Donate to help pro-choice Democratic women continue to resist at every level of government in the coming year.

If everyone thought 2017 was a big year for women, they won't believe what this community is going to do in 2018.
