A promise kept
âWe want lower taxes, bigger paychecks, and more jobs for American truckers and for American workers,â the President said.
Today, he returns to Pennsylvaniaâwith even better news to share. Less than a month after the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act became law, at least 187 companies have issued bonuses, raised their minimum wages, planned investments, or donated to charity as a result of lower taxes.

âWhy taxes matter after allâ
âApple is a success story that could only have happened in America, and we are proud to build on our long history of support for the U.S. economy,â Apple CEO Tim Cook said.
The news is significant, and Stephen Mooreâa columnist for The Washington Timesâexplains why. âOne premise of modern-day âprogressives,â is that taxes donât have much influence on how much and when people invest, how much they work and save, or where they live,â Moore writes.
âBoy, has the just-enacted Trump tax bill already proved these critics wrong.â
