New Catalyst Released – Is Immigration Reform Possible?
No issue animates the tension within American society better than immigration. To some, welcoming immigrants speaks to our identity as an open society and helps sustain our economic growth. To others, a large flow of immigration can lead to a loss of the American identity and a shortage of jobs.
The Catalyst addresses this debate with contributors who focus on the political and cultural forces that stand in the way of modernizing our immigration system. The winter edition also takes a deep look at ways the nation could at last update our immigration laws.

Experience | President Bush Joins Chevrolet to Help Raise $ 1.4 Million for Vets
President Bush was joined by Jay Leno in Scottsdale, Arizona last weekend at Barrett-Jackson, where a Corvette Carbon 65 Edition coupe generously donated by Chevrolet and GM was auctioned off to benefit the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative. The Corvette, signed by President Bush, sold for $ 1.4 million. The Bush Center is especially grateful to Chevrolet, GM, Barrett-Jackson, the Gordon D. Sondland and Katherine J. Durant Foundation, and the car’s new owner.
