Bigger. Paychecks.

Senator Orrin Hatch

Dear Friend, In Tuesday’s State of the Union, the President highlighted two issues in which I have been intimately involved: tax reform and immigration. Over the coming months, Utah’s families will soon reap the rewards of my tax bill, which represents the most significant tax overhaul in a generation. Higher deductions and lower taxes will lead to better jobs and bigger paychecks. Already, millions of workers across the country are seeing the difference in the form of bonuses, raises, and greater take-home pay.   See my response to the President's State of the Union Address on YouTube On the heels of our tax reform victory, the Senate’s focus has now shifted to immigration. I am committed to finding an immigration fix that strikes the right balance between strengthening border security and securing a long-term solution for America’s Dreamer population. While some treat immigration as if it’s an insurmountable challenge, I see it as a unique opportunity to improve our nation’s economic competitiveness. That’s why I introduced my I-Squared bill last week to encourage more high-skilled immigration. Ultimately, my proposal will help fill the critical jobs that drive economic growth and innovation.   I encourage you to learn more about my immigration plan by watching the above video in which I also share my thoughts on the President’s State of the Union address. Know that I will never stop fighting to keep our nation strong. Sincerely,   Orrin
