Carper's Connection Three Years of the Affordable Care Act March 21, 2013 Hi there, Saturday is the three year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, and I wanted to share this video with you before anyone else sees it. Check it out. www.carper.senate.gov/public/index.cfm Tell me what you think. Millions of Americans have already begun to see serious health care savings thanks in part to the Affordable Care Act. More than 6 million seniors have seen the costs of their prescription drugs drop by the tune of $6 billion. Over 34 million seniors have received free preventive screenings for things like heart disease and cancer. About 23 million children with pre-existing conditions and young adults now have dependable health care coverage. And there's more to come. Later this year, new reforms will help individuals and small businesses shop for more options for high-quality, low-cost health insurance, and we'll begin to ensure that all Americans, finally, have access to health care coverage in this country. I just wanted to make sure you saw this.
