United States Senator For Georgia Saxby Chambliss Dear Friends, Today marks the third anniversary of the passage of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This highly unpopular law is full of broken promises and higher costs [link 1] that will expand the government and weaken our economy. I have worked tirelessly to repeal this burdensome health care law and focus on replacing it with common sense, market based solutions that reduce health care costs and enact insurance reforms immediately. During this time of fiscal crisis, we don't need a law that adds $1.2 trillion to our long-term deficit. This costly law fails to bend the federal cost curve or lower the overall cost of health care for Americans. According to CBO, seven million Americans will lose their employer-based coverage under Obamacare, and the law could end up costing over 800,000 jobs. Not to mention that the bill has already generated nearly 20,000 pages of new regulations, making it more difficult for buisnesses to hire new workers. This week, as the Senate debated the budget, I voted in favor of a series of amendments that would repeal this law [link 2]. It is my hope Congress will not only repeal Obamacare, but also enact common sense, step-by-step reforms that protect Americans access to the care they need, from the doctor they choose, at a lower cost. Americans should be allowed to buy insurance policies across state lines. Small businesses should be allowed to pool resources to offer more affordable insurance to workers, and doctors should not have to worry about baseless lawsuits. This is not the final chapter in the health care reform debate. I am ready to continue to work with my Senate colleagues to develop transparent and measured reforms to ensure that every American has access to quality and affordable healthcare. Dear Friends,

Today marks the third anniversary of the passage of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This highly unpopular law is full of that will expand the government and weaken our economy.

This week, as the Senate debated the budget, .
