Dear Friend, Several months ago I shared with you a short preview of Best Kept Secret --- an inspiring and important documentary being produced by Samantha Buck that follows a New Jersey teacher struggling to prepare her autistic students for the incredibly tough world that awaits them once they graduate. Please join me this Saturday at the Montclair Film Festival for a screening of this documentary which takes us inside the world of the John F. Kennedy School in Newark and the classroom of Miss Mino, who has proudly and selflessly dedicated her life to autistic and special needs children and their families. Aging out is a dilemma so many families and students with autism spectrum disorders are facing, and too few people in our country really understand. Thats why I believe this story and the discussion it can provoke is so important. What are we doing to support our students with autism or special needs after the days of school, structure and hands-on learning are over? Best Kept Secret inspires me to continue fighting on behalf of children and adults living with autism. We must turn autism awareness into autism action particularly for adults with ASD. Im doing everything I can to create the kinds of policies that will help meet the challenges that Samantha is bringing to light through her wonderful film. Thank you for all you do to help, Robert Menendez United States Senator Please do not reply to this e-mail as this address is not monitored. Dear Friend,

Several months ago I shared with you a short preview of Best Kept Secret --- an inspiring and important documentary being produced by Samantha Buck that follows a New Jersey teacher struggling to prepare her autistic students for the incredibly tough world that awaits them once they graduate.

Thank you for all you do to help,

Robert Menendez
United States Senator
