On May 8, the Oversight and Government
Reform Committee held a hearing that examined new information
about the events surrounding the terrorist attacks on the American compound in Benghazi, Libya
on September 11, 2012. Three officials from the State Department gave emotional personal accounts of
the attacks as they were questioned by lawmakers for nearly six hours.
