Roy Blunt, United States Senator for Missouri Dear Unity, Twelve years ago today, we witnessed the most horrific terrorist attack ever to take place on American soil. We'll never forget those who lost their lives on 9/11, and we're forever grateful to our men and women in uniform and our intelligence professionals who work tirelessly each and every day to keep us safe from another attack. Twelve years later, we still live in a dangerous world with enemies who wish us harm. We were reminded of this just one year ago, when four Americans were killed during a deadly terrorist attack in Benghazi. As a member of both the Senate defense authorizing and appropriations committees, I will continue working to ensure our nation's military and intelligence community have the necessary resources to protect Americans.
