While at first blush it might sound good, it's important to delve a little deeper into the facts. Some families will receive a check this summer from their insurance companies because of a provision in Obamacare known as the Medical Loss Ratio, which requires health insurance companies to spend a certain percentage of your premiums on direct health care costs instead of operating costs. But, what the Administration is conveniently ignoring is that premiums have gone up for families because of the new taxes, fees and costly mandates in the law. For example, a provision in the law known as the health insurance tax will generate $8 billion, and this tax will most likely be passed on directly to the consumer. Essentially that means for every dollar you receive in a rebate check, you paid an additional $24, in this tax alone, to get it. Only in Washington would someone try to spin that as good news. Senator Johanns e-Update
July 24, 2014

The Obama Administration is out again touting supposed benefits of Obamacare. While at first blush it might sound good, it’s important to delve a little deeper into the facts.
