This has been a long and eventful year. We accomplished so much together, and I couldn't be more proud of all the work you and other great Democrats have done. Barack and I are so grateful to have you on our team. But we've also learned some lessons along the way that I hope you'll carry with you as we move into 2015. We learned that we have strength in numbers. Millions of supporters like you have taken ownership of the Democratic Party and invested your time, energy, and money into promoting Democratic values. And because of that, this movement is strong as we head into a new year. Now, we need to keep that up in 2015 and build momentum for 2016 and beyond. You can be a big part of that, just as you always have, by pitching in $10 or whatever you can so we can put our best foot forward: my.democrats.org/Deadline-2014 We also learned this year that most people agree with us on the issues. We want to raise the minimum wage. We believe everyone should receive equal pay. And we think kids should be able to afford a college education. We want change -- for ourselves, for our neighbors, for every American -- and we won't stop until we see it. We can't let that passion fade away in the coming years -- we'll need it to finish what we've started. Most importantly, we learned that things don't always go as planned, and that's okay, because there's a lesson in that, too. Now we know where to focus our energy and where we can stand to improve. So it's up to us to not sit idly by or become complacent. Instead, we have to make sure we're prepared. Pitch in now so we can be ready for everything coming our way: my.democrats.org/Deadline-2014 Happy New Year. I can't wait to see what we do with this one. Michelle
